About Us
Intensivets provides online education and training in veterinary emergency and critical care medicine. Its first online course was released in 2018, Veterinary Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR). Intensivets is a women-owned small business, co-founded by Dr. KimMi Whitehead and Dr. Carey Hemmelgarn.
Dr's Hemmelgarn and Whitehead met during their emergency and critical care residency where they bonded over their love for the profession and the desire to teach. Together they co-founded Intensivets to make veterinary emergency and critical education easily accessible through online courses and resources.
Our Courses
Veterinary Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation
Learn how to prepare for and perform CPR, in addition to understanding team member roles during an arrest.
This course is divided into eight, easily digestable sections for a total of two hours of training.
Shelter Medicine Disease Outbreak and Response
Review best practices within the shelter that help to prevent outbreak occurrence, how to recognize an occurrence, and take action during a disease outbreak event.Remember, "An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure."
